The Path To Becoming A Firefighter

The North Lyon Fire was founded in 1952. Since our humble beginnings, our incredible team of firefighters and staff have served the people of Fernley and outlying areas – covering more than 174 square miles. Becoming a full-time firefighter is a pathway to an incredibly rewarding career impacting lives, keeping our community safe, and gaining skills and knowledge that transcend beyond a simple day job.
