The North Lyon Fire Department was founded in 1952. Since our humble beginnings, our incredible team of firefighters and staff have served the people of Fernley and outlying areas – covering more that 174 square miles.
North Lyon Fire primary response area is the 174 square miles in and around the City of Fernley. We service this area from two stations strategically located in the population centers for faster response times. We also have robust Mutual Aid agreements with our surrounding fire agencies and counties that increase the number of firefighters that can respond to emergencies in our region.
